Generating reviews on Auto Trader
Dealer Reviews are provided through Feefo and are free as part of your Auto Trader package. We also partner with most third-party providers, so if you collect reviews using a different platform you can feed them over to Auto Trader so they appear on your profile.

Recency is key
95% of visitors to Auto Trader believe it's important to read a review of a retailer that was written within the last 12-months2. Your average review rating on Auto Trader will reflect your last 12-months of reviews only, so it's crucial that you stay on top of your reviews and generate them from your most recent customer experiences. Your older reviews are all still visible to buyers, but they don't count towards your average rating.
Replying is important
Always remember to thank your customers who have taken time to share their experience of your customer service. It's important to make sure you reply to all of your reviews, both positive and negative.
Don’t fear the negative
Consumers are realistic; they know that no business gets every interaction right every time. Often they just want reassurance that they can still expect a satisfactory experience if things go wrong.
Be Highly Rated on Auto Trader
We know that customers want a transparent buying experience and that trust is key. Trust in the vehicle, trust in the price and trust in the retailer. This is why once a year, we award retailers who truly excel in customer service. Retailers who hit out criteria will receive a Highly Rated award displayed on their full page adverts, Retailer Stores along with stickers to display in their dealerships.
