The Mercedes Benz eActros is Mercedes Benz’s first all-electrical truck. Each wheel of this truck is individually powered by a separate lithium-ion battery (with each battery providing 112kwh), resulting in total battery capacity of around 3362 and 448 kWh2 respectively.
Depending on various factors like; driver behavior, outside temperature, load, and topography, the Mercedes Benz eActros electric truck can travel between 300km-400km. With a high quality charger, the HGV should charge from 20-80% in just 60 minutes. The payload of the eActros without the body is 10.6 tones, which is similar to original HGVs. 2. Volvo FH Electric

The VOLVO FH Electric has been developed as an electric option for when your routes extend a little further, for example maybe from city to city. It has been created as an electric version of their FH.
This electric truck boasts up to 490 kW power and up to 300 km range. A full charge​ will take 9.5 hours with AC (43 kW) or ​90 minutes with DC (250 kW). 3. DAF LF Electric

The Dutch manufacturer DAF, is predominantly known for its production of reliable trucks. They plan to solidify their future position by moving forward into a new range of electrical transport with the DAF LF Electric.
Again, depending on various factors like; driver behavior, outside temperature, load, and topography, this truck can travel 280km max. The truck is mains-voltage compatible. The 282kwh battery can be charged overnight from 20-80% in around 6.5 hours or via a quick charge, where you could get to 20-80% in just under 60 minutes. 4. Renault Trucks E-Tech D

Renault are leaders in electromobility, with a number of electric trucks already on the road with customers. Their first electric truck hit the road in June 2019, which was an electric refuse truck in to be used in Lyon.
The Renault Trucks E-Tech D is fully electric -powered by 265kWh, 600 V lithium-ion batteries. The truck has 4 battery packs (66 kW each) all located in the wheelbase. Their Alternating Current synchronous electric machines use permanent-magnet technology to deliver a maximum power of 370 kW peak, continuous power of 260 kW and maximum torque of 425 Nm. This electric truck comes with ‘Battery Performance Promise’ a guarantee that the battery will operate for up to 10 years or deliver 300 MW of energy over the vehicle’s life. Electric trucks are a great option for London based businesses as they can drive in and out of the Ultra Low Emission Zone and Congestion Charge Zone without incurring charges. The UK’s largest supermarket chain Tesco use an Renault Trucks E-Tech D to deliver goods from their Dagenham distribution centre, to more than 400 stores in Greater London. Find a Renault truck here.

5. BYD ETM 6

BYD are one of China’s largest privately-owned enterprises, they specialise in rechargeable batteries. They've created a variation of electric products including trucks, a van, buses, a coach and forklifts. They recently launched their trucks in Hungary, which can be ordered there now and are scheduled for delivery this year (2022).
This truck’s battery has a capacity of 126 kWh. Its range is up to 200km on a full load and its charge time is around 72 minutes. We are looking forward to seeing more about this truck and how it performs against more established brands soon. Find your next truck here.
