Hitachi Unveil Their First ICT Excavator

Hitachi has released its first-ever ICT hydraulic excavator with machine control in Europe. Projections say that the ZX210X-6 will allow projects to be completed 50% faster than usual, and it's all down to the semi-automatic boom / the arm.

It has been said that standard machines can’t match the bucket angle retention facility that carries out tasks with fewer movements. We are keen on the control system which controls the edge of the bucket, which should prevent any over digging and adding extra delays to projects as a result.
Another exciting feature is the sensors, according to Hitachi, they will “help to provide an accurate measurement of the excavator’s incline and front working angle.” This should create more control for management purposes and help cut down on admin. There is also a 10” touchscreen which can rotate 360 degrees. Plus, it has a split screen option that shows two to three different angles. So, there is certainly a safety element to the ZX210X-6. And, let’s not forget the project management advantages too, as the controller can zoom in and out and watch progress from a variety of views. Hitachi is incredibly proud of their new release judging by Wilbert Blom. The product manager for Hitachi Construction Machinery Europe, said: “The ZX210X-6 excavator plays a pivotal role in Hitachi’s ICT construction solutions. More accurate than its competitors, it is the most technologically advanced Hitachi excavator to date.” With 128.4 (kW) of engine power, it’s clearly an efficient, safe and user-friendly piece of equipment.
