Suzuki aims at younger buyers with Swift Attitude
Suzuki has unveiled a limited, 500 unit-run version of the Swift supermini, named the Swift Attitude. Based on the 1.2-litre SZ3 model, the Attitude will appeal to younger drivers thanks to its modest running costs (56.5mpg and £23 per annum road tax thanks to CO2 emissions of 116g/km) and low group 9E insurance rating.

Suzuki Swift Sport announced
Full details of the next-generation Suzuki Swift Sport hot hatch have been revealed ahead of its public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. It will be an affordable performance car to rival the Ford Fiesta Zetec-S, MINI Cooper and Abarth 500.

Safest cars revealed
Euro NCAP, the organisation which crash tests new cars and awards them safety ratings, has revealed the safest new cars of 2010. Last year Euro NCAP crash tested 29 new cars, with just 65 per cent achieving the maximum five-star rating.

MPG Marathon reveals economy winners
Car makers including Renault, Toyota, Suzuki, Volkswagen, Ford and Smart have received plaudits for their performance in this year’s MPG Marathon economy event. The two day, near 400-mile challenge saw winning cars outperforming their official economy ratings. They were driven on public roads.
