Safest cars revealed
Euro NCAP, the organisation which crash tests new cars and awards them safety ratings, has revealed the safest new cars of 2010. Last year Euro NCAP crash tested 29 new cars, with just 65 per cent achieving the maximum five-star rating.

Citroen C4 hatchback (2011 – ) first UK drive
This is the brand new Citroen C4, due to reach its first customers in January 2011, it will arguably be Citroen’s most important model for the next five years. The family hatchback arena dominated by the Ford Focus, Vauxhall Astra and Volkswagen Golf is still the most important in the UK, accounting for the most overall car sales.

Citroen DS4 and C4 revealed in Paris
The Citroen C4 and DS4 have been revealed alongside each other at the Paris Motor Show. The two hatchbacks might be the same size, but the potential buyers of each car are very different, according to Citroen.

Latest crash test results revealed
The Honda CR-Z hybrid sports car has been awarded the full five-star safety rating by Europe’s recognised car safety body. It was awarded 93 per cent for adult occupant protection, 80 per cent for child occupant protection, 71 per cent for pedestrian protection and 86 per cent for safety assist (which assesses electronic safety technology).
