• Run-out special of the A3 cabrio
• Thousands of pounds worth of options
• Costs from £23,775

A run-out Final Edition version of the Audi A3 Cabriolet has been announced. This new trim level will replace the standard Sport and S line models before the model departs for good later this year.

Over and above the normal Sport and S line models they’re based on, Final Edition variants will come equipped with a host of extra kit. Sport Final Edition trim includes a Vienna leather interior, heated front seats, automatic headlights and a Bluetooth mobile phone interface, while S line Final Editions will benefit from bespoke 18-inch alloys, Vienna leather upholstery, xenon headlamps, DVD based sat-nav, Audi Music Interface iPod connectivity and a BOSE sound system.

Under the bonnet, the A3 Cabriolet Final Edition gets the same engines as the standard car, meaning a 103bhp 1.2-litre TFSI petrol engine, 158bhp 1.8-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol four cylinder producing 197bhp. Also available are two diesels, the 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre four cylinder units, producing 103 and 138bhp respectively.

The Sport Final Edition commands a £2,340 premium over the standard A3 cabriolet but still represents a saving of £1,605 if the options had been specced seperately on a standard car. An S line version costs £2,435 more than the standard car but if the options are added up independently, this is still a saving of £3,640.

These special edition models are available to order now and cost between £23,775 and £30,615. The new A3 Cabriolet has not yet been officially been announced but we are not likely to get it in the UK until next year.
