Toyota to recall 1.7m cars globally
Toyota has issued a safety recall for 1.7 million cars worldwide, due to a possible fuel leak problem. The recall includes 15,500 Avensis and 3,100 Lexus IS models in the UK, and is caused by two separate issues. There have been no reports of accidents in the UK, and no complaints relating to the Avensis, however there has been one complaint relating to the IS.

Special edition Lexus IS Advance announced
A special edition Lexus IS saloon, featuring a host of electronic equipment has been announced. The Lexus IS 250 and IS 200d Advance models are based on the entry-level SE version, but feature additional equipment.

Updated Lexus IS range revealed
The Lexus IS has undergone a thorough makeover, with a revised look and a new entry-level IS200d model for improved economy and emissions. The new IS200d replaces the outgoing IS220d model and is powered by an improved 2.2-litre diesel engine with emission-reducing filters, mated to six-speed manual gearbox.
