The latest Honda Civic is arriving just in time for the March 12-plate and promises improvements in every area. With incredible attention to even the smallest detail, its engineers have increased average fuel consumption dramatically. The diesel now returns more than 64mpg.

Crash safety: The best and worst of 2012 so far
Crash safety organisation Euro NCAP has released results of the first cars tested under the new, more stringent safety criteria for 2012. The Honda Civic was singled out for particular praise. It was awarded the maximum five-star rating and scored highly in each area of assessment, but particularly in the Safety Assist category which considers a car’s electronic safety devices.

Honda Civic: prices and specs announced
Honda has revealed prices for the new Civic hatchback will range from £16,495 to £26,595. The new Honda Civic, which was given its public debut at September’s Frankfurt motor show, will feature a high level of standard equipment, with all models benefitting from air-conditioning, alloy wheels, a fuel-saving ECON driving mode and daytime running lights.
