Second generation Kia Ceed on sale from June 1

The brand new Kia Cee’d is about to make its UK debut, arriving in showrooms on June 1. Sporting a new, more sculpted design, thanks to Kia’s Chief Design Officer Peter Schreyer, the look is dominated by the company’s trademark ‘tiger nose’ front grille and wrap-around headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights.

Next Astra to be built in UK

The future of the Vauxhall manufacturing plant at Ellesmere Port in Cheshire has been secured by its parent company General Motors (GM). From 2013 the plant will build the next-generation Vauxhall Astra, a contract which will run into the early 2020s.

Hot Volkswagen Polo gets 217bhp

A hot Volkswagen Polo WRC Street model has been announced with an unprecedented 217bhp – more than its big brother, the Golf GTI. It celebrates the entry of a Polo rally car into the World Rally Championship (WRC) and will be launched in late 2013 as a limited edition.
