Peugeot 208 hatchback expert review

The Peugeot 208 cuts an elegant, distinctly French dash on the city streets. Thankfully it’s also a lot nicer to drive than its predecessor, and a worthy alternative to the ubiquitous Ford Fiesta.

2015 Lexus RC F ride

Lexus RC F 5.0 F Coupe 2dr Petrol Automatic (5 g/km, 252 bhp) Coupe (2014 - ) expert review

The Lexus RC F is an undeniably interesting car. It looks like nothing else on the road, it goes like stink and it sounds absolutely amazing. Granted, it’s not as dynamically polished as its main rival from BMW, it’s expensive to buy and run, and there are some fairly fundamental ergonomic issues inside the cabin. However, it’s a likeable and enjoyable car nonetheless, and we wouldn’t blame you if you fell in love with the looks alone.

Suzuki Celerio design

Suzuki Celerio 1.0 SZ3 Hatchback 5dr Petrol Manual (99 g/km, 68 bhp) Hatchback (2014 - ) expert review

The Suzuki Celerio is a high-value city car that provides bags of space and lots of standard equipment for a bargain-basement price. It’s not the most comfortable or quietest car of its type to drive, and it feels rather dour inside, but if value-for-money is your priority, you should definitely give it a look.

Nissan Pulsar ride

Nissan Pulsar 1.2 DIG-T Acenta Hatchback 5dr Petrol Manual (118 g/km, 113 bhp) Hatchback (2014 - ) expert review

The Pulsar isn’t a car that’s going to get your heart racing – to look at, to sit in or to drive – but it’s a decent all-rounder that majors on practicality and affordability. For that reason, the cheaper versions look like cracking value for money, but spend more, and the price gets too close to some more talented rivals.

BMW 2 Series Convertible ride

BMW 2 Series 2.0 220d Sport Convertible 2dr Diesel Automatic (start/stop) (113 g/km, 184 bhp) Convertible (2015 - ) expert review

The BMW 2 Series Convertible does all the important drop-top jobs well. It looks great inside and out, it’s effortlessly desirable and it feels like a quality product. Pick the right version, and it’s very good to drive as well, but other versions may leave you feeling a little cold - even with the roof up.
