Despite the huge sales success enjoyed by the Mini Hatchback, Convertible and Clubman, Mini has found its growing range of models still can’t cater for everybody. When Mini asked ex-customers why they were moving on to buy cars like the Volkswagen Golf and Audi A3, the answer was always the same: a lack of space.

Audi A4 (2000-2005) used car guide
The Audi A4 is a mid-sized four-door saloon and estate that rivals the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes C-Class and Ford Mondeo. The version launched in 2000 was the second generation of the A4 which refined the original formula of a well-built, attractive saloon, but added more interior space and was more comfortable and fun to drive.

Free checks for Porsche 911 owners
Porsche 911 owners can book their car in for a free health check at their local dealer next month. The Porsche 911 Service Clinics take place on October 16 at official Porsche dealers across the country, and allow owners to accompany a technician as their car is given an inspection.

31% of buyers put off by dirty cars
A survey by BMW Financial Services has found that for a third of motorists the single factor most likely to discourage them from buying a car would be if it looked dirty or neglected. Joe Pattinson of BMW Financial Services said, “Notably for motorists looking to sell a used car, the one thing most likely to put buyers off is something that is easily changed- its cleanliness and tidiness.

Volvo embrace new 1.6-litre petrol engine
Volvo has announced an all-new 1.6-litre GTDi petrol engine, which will be introduced into the S60 saloon and V60 estate before the end of the year. This move confirms Volvo’s commitment to ‘down-sizing’ engines, using direct fuel injection and turbocharging to extract performance from small, economical engines.

Toyota Verso-S MPV to debut at Paris
The Toyota Verso-S will be unveiled at the 2010 Paris Motor Show on September 30, introducing Toyota into the mini MPV class. At less than four metres long, the Toyota Verso-S will be shorter than the new Mini Countryman, Peugeot 3008 and Ford C-Max.
