VAUXHALL CORSA 1.6T VXR Nurburgring Edition 3dr (Review date: 23rd January '14)
What can i say, in my opinion, it does what it says on the tin. I did'nt buy this car for it to do 60 mpg, i bought it for it's good looks( and it does turn heads )and its pure adrenalin. This car will keep up with a lot of other cars that you would pay silly money for. I love it, you hit the floor and the turbo will over boost and pin you to the back of the seat.Or you can drive around town in sixth gear at thirty mph, no problem. I have some nippy cars in my time, ( polo gti, 206 gti, ) but the vxr wins hands down, i love it.
Vauxhall corsa 1.2 limited edition 2011
VAUXHALL CORSA 1.2i 16V Limited Edition 5dr (Review date: 31st December '13)
Had this car for 3 years, never let me down, looks sporty and cheap to insure. I have owned the previous model corsa but with a 1.3cdti engine, if I had my time again would pick the diesel any time it's worth the extra money gives more low down torque and is nippier around town, the petrol appears sluggish but if you use as a town car it's fine, but don't expect great fuel economy, 34 is my average which isn't good for this type of car. Quality is good and ride is smooth, the lifetime warranty is also good it's a shame it's not transferable which is a good selling point, but you don't have to use main dealer to qualify for this as services are more expensive that said the work carried out at main dealer has always been good. In summary a great little car for the money.
VAUXHALL CORSA 1.2i 16V Life 5dr (Review date: 22nd December '13)
This is my girlfriends car but i drive it aswell nearly every single common fault with these cars has gone wrong with this one and the main one was that the oil timing wasn't correct and could of seriously damaged the engine expensive job coz out of warranty I had to pay for it the blowers have just packed in the oil switch in the engine bay packed in and lost all the oil out of that and the dashboard didn't say the oil was low but I check it regularly. it judders a when setting off when it's cold but when it warms up nice to drive. the rear window does not clear just endless problems with this car
VERDICT never get a vauxhall again nightmare
Rating doesn't tell all......
VAUXHALL CORSA 1.2 SXi 5dr [AC] (Review date: 19th November '13)
When completing the ratings, this car look great. It does have good practicality, reliability since it is almost new, and cheap running costs.
But... There are much more reliable and practical cars out there. This is a very uncomfortable car to be in, seats are hard, ride is hard, looks ok inside with flashy piano black and silver bits of plastic. The gear change is poor and very notchy, and the engine is too sluggish even for a small light run around. It does less running, more walking.
Dashboard is not tasteful, and features/buttons are not intuitive for example changing music settings.
I would advise driving some Japanese cars after driving this, as they have many more features, drive far better than this and will be far more reliable
my corsa is great

Great car - class leading in it's size
VAUXHALL CORSA 1.3 CDTi ecoFLEX Design 3dr (Review date: 8th July '13)
The first Vauxhall I have ever owned having had a disappointing experience with Peugeot before this. Has been an excellent car giving 4 years of faultless running, excellent economy and very low running costs. It is the most solid feeling car of it's size I have been on and the Design is very well spec'd with lots of bits and bobs normally associated further up the specifications like auto lights and wipers, side curtains and electric door mirrors.
Car for the masses
VAUXHALL CORSA 1.2i 16V Life 5dr (Review date: 2nd June '13)
Bought this second hand to get me to work and back. For that criteria it does very well. Easy to drive, comfortable and good fuel consumption. However, my wife has a Mazda 2 and the Mazda is superior in every department. It never has had any part replaced yet the Corsa needed total brake overhaul including disks. Also the Corsa gearbox is hard to get first and reverse. The VX handbook says depress clutch and wait 3 seconds before engaging reverse gear!!! What?
If you want cheap and cheerful the Corsa is fine. If you like driving a quality car................buy a Mazda 2.
Lovely to drive, comfortable & practical
VAUXHALL CORSA 1.4i 16V SE 3dr Auto (Review date: 29th April '13)
I bought my 10 plate Corsa to replace a very old but still very reliable Corsa that's been in my family for years, getting both my sons through their tests and beyond. I've gone for the SE model as it has part leather seats and leather steering wheel, both being heated (great with the cold winter we have had) I chose the 3 door model as I think it has a sportier look. My car is automatic, not for any other reason than I liked the colour (oriental blue) This shape seems a little bigger than my old one which is a benefit, its lovely to drive & so far has been 100% reliable. The only downside is fuel consumption, however I drive I can't get better than 30mpg when the auto trader guide says 37.7 to 60.1 mpg. Perhaps this guide should be taken with a pinch of salt. Also it doesn't always change gear when I think it should when going up steep hills, especially when I have passengers onboard. This can be a little embarrassing as it makes that noise that your granddad makes when he thinks he can drive from one end of town to the other in 2nd gear! Putting this aside its a much loved car, admired by many & one I wouldn't swap for the world.
