It does exactly what it says on the tin...
SUZUKI VITARA V6 5dr Auto (Review date: 25th February '13)
I found my wife a lovely 1998 Vitara automatic on ebay for a bargain price....such good value, it felt a little like theft! Low mileage, full service history and a rare model to boot, being a short wheelbase but fitted with the 2litre 24v V6. The guy we bought it from said only about 5 were ever imported here.
Anyway, to cut to what you want to know, we're delighted with this car! It looks great (people seem to look at it with fond familiarity), it gives surprisingly good MPG, pulls really well, feels safe, and you just get the feeling that whatever you asked of it, it would be in your corner. We live on a hill and have recently been caught out by the snow, but now we're almost looking forward to the next snowfall!
Speaking as we find, if all Vitaras are like our cheap little bargain then I can highly recommend one...and I get the feeling that tidy original ones are going to become collectable in time.
Great for summer
SUZUKI VITARA 1.6 JX 4U Soft Top 2dr (Review date: 22nd February '12)
A lovely cheap, well built, reliable and fun 4x4.
The soft top was a bit of a pain, but when the weather was good, I used to keep it in the garage overnight with the top off all the time. Saved a lot of time & effort that way!
It was no sports car, but nippy enough and off road it was up there with the 'bigger' boys. Quite a capable all rounder really.
Find a good one, and I am sure it will provide miles of fun for you.
Better than first thought best i have driven.

The Suzuki Vitara +3 is a joy to drive. Feels safe .solid and totally reliable so pleased we decided to take the chance with Suzuki as never had one before. First 4x4 we have had so the difference on ice is heart-warming no fear factor can go out every day no snowed in days wonderful. One very special con factor is the mileage cost as with any 4x4 it does come as a shock at first , so need to budget for fuel etc and all is worthwhile.
SUZUKI VITARA 1.6 JX 4U Soft Top 2dr (Review date: 19th July '11)
I love this car its great in the summer with the top down, and equally warm and cosy in the winter and in the snow, the 4WD works well, the manual locking hubs are not seized and can easily be switched for snow and ice.
I bought this car in 2006 as a second car and really dont want to sell but as I have recently taken voluntary redundancy I cannot afford two cars.
It runs well and I have found it to be very reliable very rarely lets me down. It can be a bumpy ride sometimes but thats part of its charm. I live near the coast and enjoy watersports and cycling and this car fits in with my hobbies and lifestyle. This is the first time I have bought a 4WD and found its a great drive and I love being high up great views.
A fun car

This is a fun car. Personally, the best bit about the car is the look. For the money, you get a very original car. It's tough. I always feel very safe driving it and, because you can switch between 2 and 4WD have never been stuck in a field after a festival! However, it is also quite small for a four wheel drive so it is still easy to park and drive. The power steering is a huge bonus.
It is relatively cheap to fill up. Currently, to fill the tank it cost about £35.00. Insurance is a bit more because it's 4WD and you have to have had a license for over two years.
It is getting on in years and needs to be driven regularly to keep it in good working order.
it's only because I'm in between jobs that I have to sell it. I've loved this car and am sad to let it go.
Great Car to Drive Must Be Seen
SUZUKI VITARA JLX SE 16V 2dr (Review date: 1st April '11)
I have had this car for nearly a year and loved driving it around, fantastic in the snow being a 4x4, and brillant in the sun with the roof down, 2 lady owners so well looked after, only selling car because work for vauxhall stevens and now been given a company car. Anyone that buys this car will be very happy with it and will get a bargain for the age and condition of the vehicle. will be sad to see it go.
