SUZUKI JIMNY 1.3 JLX 3dr (Review date: 13th January '14)
I bought a Jimny from Concorde at Wraysbury. Great selection, good prices and they know what they are talking about. Polite friendly Family run business. My Jimnys an older one ( 2001 ) but is in great condition and runs much better than expected. Its no Range Rover but come on for a budget 4 x 4 there's nothing that comes close. Would I buy another one ??? YES I would.
This little 4x4 is not to be underestimated!!

My name is Charlotte and I'm 26. This is my second Jimny and I just love them! So much fun to drive. Although they are not the cheapest car to run they are by no means the most expensive either. I do a forty mile trip every day to work and Jimny hasn't let me down once. Cheap on insurance and they do not come under the new higher 4x4 road tax as they are only a 1.3.
I give them a thumbs up :)
Super little Jeep

Brought this for a £1000 from a friend who had owned it from new about 5 years ago, we live in country, it earns its life with us, dogs are piled in, it never stops. We are having lambour sensor probs at the moment- but its the light not an actual problem as such.
We would get another , its fun. Shopping does tend not to go in to well as we have the soft top version and its opening not too big.
Petrol - tank is too small so fill up a lot but it doesnt cost too much when you do.
Dont expect it to perform like a sports car- trust it and it will lokk after you
A vehicle I can rely on whatever the weather

I bought my firsy Jimny about 18 months ago. it was five years old and had covered 18000 miles.with full main dealer service history I paid 6k for it. Since then it travels 20000miles per year in all weather travelling the length of Wales weekly .Its only cost me the price of its services and tyres .I travelled yesterday 160 miles through heavy snow. No motorways or dual carraigeways all rural on A & B roads, through a very hilly/mountainouse area.
The Jimny never missed a beat , it took every thing in its stride even drifting snow up to its bumper. I only stopped twice due to frozen windscreen wipers.
The jimny is simple and reliable it does not have the comfort or myriad of electrical accessories found on modern road cars ,but for the price I cannot fault it.. I also have a new defender. station wagon. but would not get rid of the Jimny unless its for a new one. Finally I get about 35 to 38 mpg but saying that never push the jimny over 60 and most journeys are 100 miles plus.
Wow so under rated

i cant believe this little 4x4 get so few good reviews its basic and thats what you need it has no fancy elictronics yes its a we 1.3l engin but that copes at 70. i also have driven it at 70 and not once feard for my life as of yet. it is not snowing and it concerd the snow no problem. if you are looking for a cheep relible car get the jimy and you will love it. its responceive as well dose every thing you would like it to as for the mpg i have not got that far in to tests but keep it in 2wd and drive cairfely should do 35-40 mpg. though im still in my 1st week of beeing a 4x4 driver i must say i have a pashon

To be honest we have always had a jimny in the family. This last one has been owned for 2yrs and is 02 reg . Its serviced every year [most important i think] kept cleaned and polished and waxoyled underneath every year . These little 4x4's will go anywhere in any weather . They will carry 4 people at a push .
Off road these little crackers just come alive
On road you need to drive them with intelligence as they are small "high " "narrow " "and 4x4''s" simple really if you think about it.
My family doesn't have any probs
Reliability is 2nd to none , just keep going and going . Just service it . Tax is high but thats the powers that be isn't it . GET ONE NOW.
a nightmare the worst car i have ever owned
SUZUKI JIMNY 1.3 JLX Mode 3dr (Review date: 10th September '12)
i took my time when choosing my jimny.i have owned two wagon rs .my wife has a 07 ignis which i cannot fault. i bought a 04 jimny mode with service history and vg condition the first week i loved it but then i realised the mpg was very poor you are lucky to get 25 mpg round town . off road the jimny might be good but on the road it is a nightmare its not for the faint hearted. on the motorway its ok at 60 but if you have to overtake at 70 it is scarey.two weeks after i got it i lost control on a roundabout doing 20mph in wet conditions the road holding is poor.i like suzuki cars for their realiabitley and build quality but the jimny is without doubt the worst car i have ever owned
Great fun car

I started looking for a jimny 3weeks ago through the classified ads in auto trader and eBay. I went to see 6 or 7 cars that were advertised privately. Having spent about £160 on petrol I came to the conclusion that they were all tatty, used and abused , none worth buying. A friend at work recommended Concorde garage in Wraysbury tw195de. Who had an unbelievable selection of over 30 jimnys in stock. The salesman will was very helpful and not one bit pushy. After an hour I became spoilt for choice !! I finally decided to buy an older one as its condition was amazing and saved me some money. Ive had it for 4 weeks now and has not missed a beat. Fuel consumption is circa 38 mpg. I purchased an extended warranty buy probably will never need it.
