RENAULT CLIO 1.2 TCE Dynamique TomTom 5dr (Review date: 27th May '12)
Bought this car last year, and I was very impressed with the performance, the turbo its very quite, and delivers the power very well, the extra boot space its very handy for your shopping trips,no rattles inside cabin, the mpg figures are not too bad,you never match manufacture figures,so far I have done 13000 miles no faults the car drives like a dream I highly recommend well done Renault.

RENAULT CLIO 1.5 dCi 86 Dynamique TomTom 5dr (Review date: 23rd January '12)
Renault Clio - Estate or Sports Tourer as the Manual describes it.
A clio that is very grown up, spacious, and generally well built.
Have only had the vehicle for ten months, so can't be too spercific on reliability costs etc, and only do a small mileage.
However fuel consumption is good - 55-60mpg - yes its a diesel.
Quiet on the road, good ride and suspension, Large boot in estate version. - Road Tax - £30pa. Insurance - around £200 f/comp.
Wife likes the easy access, and road view. - also 5 door.
Looks good in Black with its silver alloys, and highlights on grille, roof, bars, and door handles.
Sadly it wont wash itself.
Interior controls are easilly to hand - Sat Nav included, but to date have not used it in anger. -( so to speak).
ps My daughter had a 3 door Clio in 2003 after uni. cir 2003, and can't believe the difference.
All in all a good size small family, or second car

RENAULT CLIO 1.2 TCE Dynamique 5dr (Review date: 31st October '11)
I drive 35 mins each way for work, alone, and felt a 1.2 suited this. I also needed a bit of room for family trips. The clio sport matched up to this. i liked the looks too although that was just a bonus, not vital. The efficiency seems good and aside form a leak into the passenger side footwell, which I hope is sorted now, it's all ben running smoothly. Happy.
Clio Sport Tourer - (5 door hatch in English) 1.5dci.
RENAULT CLIO 1.5 dCi 86 Dynamique TomTom 5dr (Review date: 31st October '11)
Bought the Clio as a replacement for an ageing Honda Civic - 2000 5 door hatch 1.6.
We purchased an estate version to match the Civic in terms of load carrying capacity, and for its higher ride position and for ease of access for my wife - newer civic too low.
FOR:- good comfortable ride, low insurance and road tax, good mpg but its a diesel so should be.
AGAINST. Interior is well put together, but the seats mark easily and are difficult to clean, Plastic trim is hard and again not easy to keep clean.
Gear change is a bit notchey - it is no match for the old civic in terms of smoothness.
I have only covered 1600 miles in it, and have had no problems with electrics or starting.
I do have a niggle with the brakes, I have been getting a rubbing noise after about twenty miles or so, after stopping at lights etc on proceeding get this rubbing noise. Have taken it back to dealer who can find no fault with either the brakes or wheel bearings.

Absolutely love this car had Clio mk II's before going for a sports tourer basically because I did'nt like the shape of the hatchback version.
We needed more space and certainly got it with this car it carries four adults with ease and in comfort even on long trips and even handles all the luggage easily as well. It is used daily on the commute into work and three or four times a year on the 500 mile round trip to my son's home to visit our grand daughter.
The 1.2 TCE engine delivers the power well and is a quite and refined unit. The ride and handling is very good even on the most uneven of roads. A little disappointed in the mpg, never get what it states in the blurb but not too bad all the same. The gear shift can feel a bit notchy until you get used to it. I never have (touch wood) had any mechanical or other problems with the car, and can't recommend highly enough this vehicle to anyone who wants a reasonably small, comfortable load carryer

RENAULT CLIO 1.5 dCi 86 Expression 5dr (Review date: 19th March '11)
i have owned the Clio sport tourer from brand new and had no problems at all the car is fantastic for what i need it for i have a Labrador and the boot is great for the odd walk out to country or the weekly shop. the rear passenger seating is comfortable and roomy enough to seat passengers in excess of 6 feet in height. the level of equipment is pretty normal CD, air-con,airbags (driver, passenger and curtain bags i believe). the car handles very well and is rather economical (i get roughly 45 mpg on the 1.5 Diesel). over all an all round good car
