We bought our 1.5dci n-tec Qashqai in March 2011 brand new. We got £1500 off the list price from Glynn Hopkins main dealer.
The n-tec spec is excellent with a quiet frugal nippy and plenty powerful enough diesel engine. The ride is smooth, and very quiet at all speeds and has no wind noise on the motorway.
The interior is great, the seats are more comfortable than my 2008 mercedes c class, and so comfy even on a very long drive.
We have the panoramic roof, reversing camera, bluetooth and iphone nissan connect, to play all our music via bluetooth, and the 18" fancy silver and gloss black alloys.
Its a great spec for £20k and comes with 3yrs serving parts and labour, 3 yrs warranty, and 3yrs RAC cover all thrown in.
The boot is big enough for our large dog and all the shopping, loads of room in the back for 3 adults too.
This is a fantastic car, and beats hands down everything else in its class.
We'll definitely be buying another new one in 3yrs time! Can't recomment enough!

Took a long time to decide but the best choice....

I took along time to decide upon my next car and finally decided on the Nissan Qashqai. I thankfully had a 1.5d with the added extra of a panoramic roof which made it such a wonderful car to drive and a very pleasent ride for passengers due to the roomy and light interior. Very fuel efficient but doesnt loose speed and has alot of power given the 1.5 d engine.
With kids constantly in and out of the car I needed leg room in the back which this has bags of - the boot is a great size too.
I am very sad to be selling this car (company car frces sale) however, I would not hesitate to buy another one if ever the need arose - I am a true advocate of the qashqai, a fun, roomy, nippy and economical car and a much better alternative to a 4x4!!

I absolutely love my Qashqai it is the best car I have ever had.
It is very practical for mums and families as the boot is really large and great for pushchairs or large boxes.
If you are on the small side the Qashqai is great to drive you are really high up in your seat but the car is not too big to drive.
It costs around £65 to fill up which is really good compared to other cars.

On the positive side, the Qashqai is a very good drive! Despite the high bodyline, there is very little body roll. It is well equipped and very comfortable. The part time 4WD systemseemed to work pretty well in the snows of 2010.
On the negative, the brake discs were consumed in less than 30K. The CD multi changer failed and was subject to a £400 warranty claim. A heat shield fell off the bottom of the car. The keyless entry is pain in the backside most of the time. Fuel consumption is not that good for a modern diesel. I get just over 38mpg with gentle mainly motorway driving.
On the whole, a good car that I would recommend.
