Hyudai Sata Fe 2 ltr common rail diesel 4 wd
HYUNDAI SANTA FE 2.0 TD 5dr Auto (Review date: 10th June '11)
I have owned this car for 7 years now and it has been fantastic in every way. It is an automatic and tows my caravan and trailer with ease.fuel consumption is about 30 to the gallon and only drops slightly on towing. It has not needed any warranty work and has only had new gyres on the front and one set of front pads and has passed every mot without requiring any work. It is great off road and never budged an inch during the sow and ice last winter when other 4 x 4 were struggling. It is very comfortable and still looks and drives like new. All round it is a lovely spacious 4 wheel drive car with superb build quality. Garry Edgar.
HYUNDAI SANTA FE 2.0 CRTD CDX 5dr Auto (Review date: 30th April '11)
I have had my 2.0CRTD Auto for 5 years and can honestly say that (a) its the longest I've ever kept a new car and (b) it's been the most reliable!
I'm not a badge snob and when searching for a car suitable for business use (I opted out of the company car scheme) I was interested in comfort, practicality and reliability. This car has got the lot in abundance. Hyundai's 5 year UNLIMITED mileage warranty wasn't called upon even though it had clocked up some 125,000 miles at the end of the warranty period, and is still going strong at 134k.
It feels as tight and smooth now as it did the day I bought it, and to my utter surprise it has earned praise from all (including badge snobs!) who travel in it and those that have noticed how utterly reliable it is.
Front tyres lasted 60,000 miles and the rears a stonking 100,000 which I am advised is not unusual for these vehicles - testament to the drivetrain Hyundai uses.
Last winter it was a godsend - surefooted and confident despite atrocious conditions. Indeed I was a taxi for many colleagues who's two wheel drive Audis and the like were immobile!
Would I buy another one? Well yes - I just have - the new Premium which is quicker and larger, but you know what - I have kept the old one for now as it has almost become part of the family! Indeed my daughter is using it and at 26 with a hairdressers attitude she feels like a WAG in it - now how many out there would consider a Santa Fe cool??!
I've never written a review before but this car definitely deserved one!
Great car to drive!
HYUNDAI SANTA FE 2.4 5dr (Review date: 25th April '11)
This car looks good and is a great car to drive as it is reliable, economic and comfortable, with lots of room and storage inside plus a sunroof and tinted windows. It is really clean and tidy too.
It has a spacious boot with plenty of room for golf clubs, flat pack goods, or wheelchair/ buggy, huge amounts of shopping, whatever you want to carry, plus the rear seats can be collapsed to give a full estate back area should you need it.
It is high so has good all round vision, is a 2Litre engine with 2 wheel drive and is a petrol version of the Santa Fe.
It can be used to tow a 4 berth caravan easily, or solo to go camping as there is so much carrying space available, taking a 10 man tent plus all necessary equipment and luggage.
Reason for sale? Decided to upgrade to a workhorse type of 4 wheel drive but I still love this Santa FE !
HYUNDAI SANTA FE 2.0 TD 5dr (Review date: 27th March '11)
I find the Hyundai Santa Fe A comfortable car to drive. It is very spacious and plenty of leg room in the rear passenger area. I find it pulls my caravan very well as it has a good torque output. Would recommend this vehicle for dual use as it is vcery good on a long run and around town. I have read in reports it is not ideal for off road use, but this is not why I purchased the Santa Fe. I find it capable of pulling a medium to large caravan and I'm happy with that.
A Brilliant Ride!
HYUNDAI SANTA FE 2.4 5dr (Review date: 18th March '11)
The Hyundai Santa Fe is a luxury to drive, sometimes with 4x4's they feel big and overpowering, this car is a perfect size! She's smooth running, with a nice quiet engine (sometimes you forget that its running!).
The reason for sale is because I'm moving 300 miles away, and fuel usage wise, she's not the best for long distance visits back home (600 mile round trips).
If anyone is considering purchasing a 4x4 the Hyundai Santa Fe should be your first port of call!
Great value 4x4, reliable, high spec and good looking
HYUNDAI SANTA FE 2.0 CRTD CDX 5dr (Review date: 28th February '11)
My first Sant fe but would not hesitate to buy another. I need a car that is reliable, good in winter and roomy. All the benefits of a 4x4 but looks better in my opinion with good lines and high spec in the CRTDX model - heated seeats, leather, nice dash.
The badge does not bother me with this car looking better than most 4x4 I see on the road.
it drives well and is comfortable at 85 - 90 mph on motorway. Town driving averages 26mpg which is pretty good for a 4.x4 personally I like the fact that 4x4 setting is on permanently given fuel consumption compares to other jeeps whilst on 2 wheel drive option.
Interior with grey leather looks great and the dash is well laid out with good stereo system factory fitted.
if there is a down side it would be that it could benefit with reverse sensors if paying for the top spec but this is not in any i have seen.
On the whole great value for money and you can pick up an 05 plat with 30k miles for approx £7k which is on very good value for money.
MPV alterantive with great MPG
HYUNDAI SANTA FE 2.0 CRTD CDX 5dr (Review date: 21st February '11)
We have had a Santa Fe for five years now. It has not put a foot wrong, bullet proof reliabilty. We get about a 45 mpg from it if we keep it at 70mph on teh motorways. Artoudn town you can expect 30mpg. It is hugley practical with an enormous boot. With the rear seats down its like a small van. Our Santa Fe has not been used off road much at all but I have to say that in teh snow it was fantastic. Despite 25cm deep snow we have never got stuck. I love all teh standard kit heated seats leather electric mirrors sunroof. It even has cruise control and leather seats. Its not the most refined off roader and the gear change is a bit awkward. You find yourself always decideing which is best 1st or 2nd ! That said it does have an effortless feel to the driving experince. The only downsides are that the looks are nto to everyones taste. The interior plastics quality is quite bad. Teh switch gear is ok its a pity the interior lets the car down so much. I woudl defineltey get another Hyundai though its been a delight to own. Its a great alternative to a boring MPV !
