Citroen VTR+ 1.4 Manuel Diesel
Previous Audi A6 owner I had to downgrade due to the fuel price, Bought this car from a Citroen dealer 6 months back,
Its not comfortable compare to Audi but its very economic on town and motorways.
I do 70% Motoways and 30% local and also I'm not a boy racer, I drive 50-65 MPH on motorways and easily achieve little over 600 mileage on full tank ( 60 Pounds. Ave 133p per L).
Forget the DS3!!
CITROEN C3 1.6 VTi 16V Exclusive 5dr Auto (Review date: 26th February '14)
This car seems to get reviews of city car etc. This car is excellent value for money, very nippy and for auto good fuel economy. However could do with a 5th gear.
This car is surprising on motorway it stands its ground and can sit at 80/90 mph all day long, even pushes bigger cars out the way.
Comfy to drive and on long journeys, smooth refined.
Always bring a smile whenever I get behind the wheel.
The double edged sword.
CITROEN C3 1.6 HDi 16V Airdream+ 5dr (Review date: 25th February '12)
The C3 Airdream is comfy Very economical and easy to drive, the steering being slightly over light and without a great deal of feedback. In normal driving it handles competently and is fuss free. I have achieved 85.5 MPG (according to the on board reading) on 2 long journeys at 56MPH, and achieve 60 MPG around town with novice drivers on board. I am surprised that it has not got traction control or variable intermittant wipe , as it does have ABS, parking sensors, height -reach steering and seats, aircon, electric windows , mirrors. The double edged sword is the Zenith screen! making the cabin very light airy but the sun visors do not turn sideways and that becomes tiresome when driving in a low sun in the evening. Also it rattles when pushed back . On the subject of rattles all the doors rattle inside on pocked surfaces and the suspension crashes over potholes. The other annoying feature is the B pillar, it is very wide and restricts the view when someone is sat in the other seat .As a driver trainer I find this most annoying . To sum up , A great car let down by a few design glitches Would I buy another? On practical safety grounds, I don't think so.
My Citreon c3
CITROEN C3 1.4i VTR+ 5dr (Review date: 8th February '12)
I have the brand new shape citreon c3. this car is a nice little car but i would say it is fairly good value. an especially neat feature on mine is the panoramic window which i wish more cars came with. The 1.4 engine isn't bad but is a bit sluggish low down the rev range. Past 3000 however it is excellent. Its has reasonable fuel economy for a 1.4 petrol even when you start racing the engine from impatience. the boot is fairly big and with the back seat down i just about managed to fit a 26inch full mountain bike which i was very impressed with. the usb and aux slots are very useful and the radio and sound system is rather good and the bluetooth capability is brilliant.
also the shape of the dashboard means the legroom for the front passenger is excellent for a car this size however the glove box isn't even big enough for the owners manual/handbook.
it is a very low insurance group and the fuel tank is quite big also.
the only thing is is i made the mistake of getting mine in white and it is constantly dirty. if buying new go for the red, it is definitely the best colour choice out of a fairly limited range.

Cost effective reliable and fun to drive
CITROEN C3 1.6 HDi 16V Airdream+ 5dr (Review date: 31st October '11)
As we were coming up to retirement we were looking to downside on a car but not limit our requirements, the Citroen C3 Air-dream met all are requirements of a nice looking car low road tax 65 miles per gallon (running the car for a year mileage confirmed) and fast.
The package deal from Citroen helped our budget go a lot further, and the 3 years service package met our trouble free driving requirement possible.
And the large windscreen is a talking point,.
The only 3 concerns lets the car down, the poor internal plastic door pull handles that are easily damaged, this could be resolved if Citroen copied the phone screen protection slips.
The other issue is that only the back rest of the rear seats fold down there would more if the seats folded forward
And the sun visors but all in all we like the car and there is no problem with long distant driving, and no problem with the size of the boot.
CITROEN C3 1.6 HDi 16V Exclusive 5dr (Review date: 31st October '11)
great little car.the only gripe i have is that sometimes it splutters a bit going uphill but it never stops.its been into citroen shrewsbury on 3 occasions and we even left it for 15 days so they could run it and find the problem.they said it never missed a beat..highly unlikely as it still does it now..would only be put off buying another citroen because of the dealer..overall the car is a belter.i have a c3 04 model scince 12 months old and its been brilliant thats the reason we bought a new one

This car is really good value for money.I am really impressed with the many extras such as trip computer, top of the range radio even an inbuilt air freshener.Sometimes there are so many extras that it can be a bit confusing but thats not a bad thing.I have to say that the MPG is also very good
This car is a great improvement on the previous C3 Models of which i,ve had three and is really great value for what you pay..
Now the downside,of which there are only two ,I find the acceleration is very poor but there again the model I have is only 1200 cc so I suppose thats to be expected
I also find that the steering is a bit erratic and the car is inclined to wander a bit, this was the same with the previous three Citroen C3s I have owned
All and all I certainly will buy another C3 model
