We received our vehicle march 2011, it's been adapted to carry a wheelchair, it does everything we need and more, it gets good mpg, fairly nippy, has decent equipment levels

My sister first bought an earlier model when they first came out and still loves it. We bought ours recently and absolutely love it - other than being quite ugly (from a guy's perspective!) it ticks every other box possible.

A Berlingo is all things to all people, one day it can carry five adults in comfort, next day it is a stripped down van helping move house, at the weekend the mountain bike goes safely in the boot with the camping and climbing gear and the kayak on the roof in search of and adventure.

It will transport you to work sipping fuel at only 50 MPG, and speed along the motorway with plenty of room in the boot for muddy dogs.

Driving in a stong cross wind will remind you of it's slab sided profile.

In concusion, with the exception of an open top, I know of no other car that can do anything a Berlingo can't.

This is a very practical vehicle that suits my lifestyle being a sole trader. Running costs are reasonable and I have good garage support in my area. This is my second Berlingo and I would buy another again in the future.

My minor criticisms are the heater takes ages to have any effect, the back seat is difficult to remove, clutch gets a bit heavy after 40,000 miles and it does suffer from the occasional rattle.

I think fuel economy is the best thing about this car,their are so many things against it.The lack of vision when i`m driving is the biggest disadvantage when you have a passenger in the car, from the passengers nose to the back of the head rest and the handle on the rear sliding door blocks out at least 45 cm of visual space making it an accident waiting too happen.The rubber seals around the doors are very weak and split before the car is a year old.The reverse gear is sometimes a struggle to select and then oftens jumps out of gear.The washer bottle is too small so if you are going on a 160 mile round trip you need too carry extra water with you too top it up.The amount of times a rear seat passenger has hurt their back on the protruding lumps of the side of the car body which appear when you slide the door open is quite frightening.To sum it up i think this car should come with a government health warning ,driving this vehicle could seriousley damage your health.
