TT Black Edition Convertible
AUDI TT 2.0T FSI Black Edition 2dr (Review date: 17th January '12)
4.3
The car is now 6 months old and it just keeps getting better and better. The performance is amazing from just a 2.0 litre engine and the handling is very precise, even though it's the 2 wheel drive model. It's not the most practicle car but that's not why it was purchased, it was for fun and it delivers that in spade loads.
Running cost are acceptable and it can return over 30 mpg if driven properly. I would recommend this car to anyone who is looking for an affordable, reliable sports car.

Its a car that makes you feel very special. Is great to drive and is very responsive good accleration. Good spacious boot that can accomodate 3 suitcases the golf clubs can even fit behind the seats.
I can find no negatives other than with the roof up you notice a blind spot so be careful to look behind you when reversing.
Have leather seats but next time will heated ones
Good mpg

For two people, this car is an absolute pleasure to own. So 'Audiish' inside, pain free motoring (eg. no tricky hood to fiddle with) and surprisingly practical for 2 people (you can get 2 suit cases in the boot). It still looks stunning and gets compliments even after 4.5 years. Highly recommended.

I purchased 'Skunk' (she's white with a black roof!) in February with my redundancy money - hey would you rather pay your mortgage off or have some fun?!!! I have had quite a few convertibles, Porsche, MR2, Mazda, and this is absolutely my favourite. I looked at BMW 320 Convertible - very cheap looking inside, and the SLK - bit claustrophobic with the roof on - I decided the TT was the one the moment I sat in the drivers seat - before I even turned on the engine! The interior feels and looks chunky yet classy. I travel almost 100 miles a day (new job) hence the need for diesel and I am getting an average of 50 MPG. The diesel engine isn't noisy when you've got the roof down either.
Being the S Line the drive is a little on the hard side - but the handling makes up for that minor indiscretion!
The only negative point as another reviewer has pointed out is the lack of a spare wheel. Thank god then for the three years RAC membership you get free from new. If you get a puncture (which I did doing 70 in the fast lane on the motorway - tyre scrapped - car handled amazingly to get me off at the next junction) you'll need to be towed to get to where you are going to get the tyre replaced.
My partner says she's got a bit of a chunky backside, but so has JLO, and she's sexy too!

I've owned my TT convertible for over 3 years now and it has been my best driving expirence throughtout my life.
It looks great, its nippy and i feel it suits me.
If Audi could make a 4 seater thats just as good looking and drives this well then thats my dream car in the future.
Running costs are reasonable and i get 40mpg quite easily on a 2 ltr petrol which is pretty good.
Overall an enjoyable experience.

Since acquiring this vehicle in May 2011 I have found the performance and road handling very good as I am a fast cat!! It also is very sexy as it has a very sleek shape as this model is an S Line. However, I am not so impressed on the fuel consumption; or is that how much I put my foot on the accelerator!!

I replaced a Mazda MX5 with the Audi TT to get something a bit bigger so I could enjoy a run in the car with my husband who found the Mazda just a bit on the small size for his 6'1"stature! I thought I would miss my wee Mazda but the Audi has been economic and fun. My only complaint is that I do get a bit more wind in my hair and round my neck, which at times can be a bit cold in the West of Scotland. That doesn't stop me getting the roof down whenever I can....Summer, Winter, day time or night time!
