Gerrard was the first owner of this 2004 BMW X5 4.8is off-roader which he owned for six months before passing it on to fellow footballer and friend, Bolton star Kevin Nolan. The top-spec BMW X5 is powered by a 4.8-litre V8 engine which produces 360bhp and 369lb/ft of pulling power. The celebrities' £40 million garage The engine – mated to an automatic gearbox – accelerates the German 4x4 from 0-62mph (100kph) in just 6.1 seconds before reaching 153mph and can average 20.9mpg. The Huyton-born midfielder is one of the game’s best paid players earning in excess of £100,000 per week. And he has splashed his cash on a host of 4x4s which have found their way onto Auto Trader.
But to replace the Range Rover HST, Gerrard splashed out on an Overfinch Range Rover which would have set him back £80,000. The BMW X5 has been full kitted out with a panoramic roof, sat-nav, TV, DVD system, climate control, all-round electrics, parking sensors and 20-inch alloy wheels. Unveiled in 2000, the BMW X5 is one of the world’s most successful 4x4s and is renowned for its popularity among footballers and celebrities.
