Green Dodge Viper breaks world record
Adrian Hearn rounds up the footage you loved the most. Green Dodge Viper hits 220.7mph A 1,200bhp bio-powered Dodge Viper has broken the world record for a standing mile speed for a road legal car. The twin-turbocharged supercar – which uses a blend of 85 per cent ethanol and 15 per cent unleaded fuel – reached a top speed over the distance of 220.7mph. Covering the distance in just 27.41 seconds, the Viper SVS TTX beat the previous record of 217.85mph. Watch the American motor in action in the video below. The insane Gumpert Apollo from Look at the Wheels on That It’s got a ludicrous name and a crazy design, but the Gumpert Apollo is one of the world’s greatest supercars. With a twin-turbocharged 4.7-litre V8 under the hood producing 650bhp, this German beast is an incredible motor. Accelerating from 0-62mph in three seconds, the £215,000 monster runs out of puff at 224mph. Watch the Apollo in action.
The K.I.T.T car from the Weird World of Wheels God bless David Hasselhoff. He gave us Baywatch, played a gig on the Berlin Wall and starred in the classic Eighties series Knight Rider. To show his appreciation for the show, this fan built a complete replica of his Knight Rider car, K.I.T.T. Auto Trader Links: The greatest road car ever?
