26 August 2008 A unique Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 E-Gear customised by German tuning house Hamann is for sale on Auto Trader. This 2006 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 E-Gear has been painted in exclusive matt chrome and had its 6.5-litre V12 engine’s power upgraded from 640bhp to 700bhp. View more images of the Hamann Lamborghini The result is 0-62mph (100kph) in 3 seconds and a top speed of 220mph – up from 211mph. To help with this performance increase, the Murcielago has been fitted with a uprated gearbox and exhaust system while new brakes and suspension will improve the Italian car’s already-exceptional handling. E-Gear is Lamborghini’s semi-automatic gearbox where the driver can change up or down with paddles attached to the car’s steering wheel, removing the need for a clutch pedal. But the performance boost is just one of the special upgrades on the on-off Lamborghini hypercar. Hamann – which is renowned for its work on BMW, Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini – has painted the Murcielago matt chrome and fitted 22-inch alloy wheels, while the inside has been adorned with red and black stitched leather. Other features on the Lamborghini Murcielago – which took Hamann six months to complete – include air-conditioning, tinted glass, CD player with multi-changer and iconic scissor-like opening doors. And the price for this one-off Lambo? With a full service history and 5,000km on the clock you can get your hands on it from London-based dealer Mayfair Prestige for £340,000. Other cars in stock at the luxury dealership include a Mercedes McLaren SLR hypercar for £175,000 and a four-seat Ferrari 612 Scaglietti which is on the market for £110,950.
