“It’s absolutely fantastic isn’t it?” coos Chris Foxall, MD of Motor Village.

Fantastic, yes – and HUGE: the big-bucks Bentley makes a presence like no other, snatching the attention of passers-by with its regal image and enormous stature.

And this Bentley’s former owner has similar ranking – Mr David Beckham.

The Queen and me

“This was built especially for David Beckham”, Chris explains, “and it’s the car he used when he went to collect his OBE from the Queen at Buckingham Palace”.

The LA Galaxy star made the journey from ‘Beckingham Palace’ to Buckingham Palace in 2003 to collect an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) for services to football in the Queen’s birthday honours list.

At the time Beckham said: “It’s not just for me but for Manchester United, England, all of my team-mates and my family.”

The international superstar – who is also a global fashion icon, fronting brands such as Police, Pepsi, Adidas and Armani – made his England international debut in 1996.

Since then, Beckham has risen to become one of the world’s great footballers, and a renowned petrolhead.

In fact, David Beckham’s old Bentley Arnage T is said to be one of only TWO Bentleys pictured on the walls of the factory – the other one is the Queen’s.

Posh Spice

David’s old Bentley is definitely a bit of ‘posh’ spice – he fitted more than £70,000 worth of extras, including wife Victoria’s name embroidered into the rear centre ‘cushion box’.

But this is just the start… Beckham ordered a HUGE spec for his Bentley, which includes:

• Folding rear picnic tables
• Polished wheels
• Bespoke cup-holders to both front door pockets
• ‘Le Mans’ style wing vents
• Alpine hi-fi with sub-woofers
• Half wood/half leather steering wheel
• Roof mounted illuminated vanity mirrors to rear compartment
• Rear fridge
• Diamond cross handles
• Televisions in the rear headrests with bespoke covers

“He even had a child seat embroidered with his son’s name, Brooklyn”, says Chris.

In fact, Beckham ordered two child seats – one with ‘Brooklyn’ stitched in – in a luxurious diamond quilted ‘Barley’ hide, and finished the remainder of the Bentley’s interior in the same colour.

Twin turbo Bentley

But Beckham has left the engine of the Bentley alone – an engine which is equipped with two turbochargers… and 450bhp.

Chris fires up the 6.75-litre V8, and as the Bentley hums into life with a dignified, composed idle, you can see why it is a favourite of royalty across the globe.

The Bentley Arnage T uses this twin-turbo V8 engine to propel its mammoth two and a half tonne bulk from 0-62mph in under six seconds and on to a top speed of 170mph.

Bag Beckham’s bargain Bentley

“It cost £170,000 brand new, and has more than £70,000 worth of extra kit fitted”, Chris explains.

But you can snap up Beckham’s old Bentley for just £99,000 – which has covered only 25,000 miles and comes complete with a full service history.

“It’s an absolutely amazing car and was owned by a proper superstar”, says Chris.

Beckham’s replacement at Man United, Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has a similar love of flash cars.

In the past three months Ronaldo has ordered a Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe and paid £150,000 for the registration plate CR7.
