Rover 75 car review

When MG-Rover went bust in 2005 it had an ageing range that had been facelifted numerous times in a bid to keep the company going. While the 25 and 45 were definitely past their sell-by date in many respects, the 75, which was six years old at that point, was still very capable in most of the key areas. And with the car now out of production for several years, prices are eminently affordable.

Britain’s most reliable cars named

Honda has been named as the most reliable manufacturer for the fifth year running, with the top seven spots being dominated by Japanese manufacturers. Honda beat Subaru to the top spot, with Mitsubishi, Lexus, Toyota, Mazda, Nissan, Skoda, Kia and Mini all in the top ten. Skoda’s eighth place makes it the most reliable European marque.

Rover 75

Rover 75 becomes Roewe 750

The Chinese company which bought part of Rover unveiled their first car yesterday. The Roewe 750 is based on the Rover 75. Shanghai Automobile Industry Corporation (SAIC) bought the rights to the Rover 25 and 75 in June 2005, following the collapse of MG Rover.
