Mazda aimed to put the sporty into sports utility vehicle with its Mazda CX-7. The car looks fantastic and is a fitting addition to the manufacturer which has been revitalised by the zoom-zoom campaign. Now it’s only gone and produced the best-looking SUV on the market.

Revealed: Britain’s best tow cars

The Land Rover Discovery has been voted the best tow car in the 2010 Tow Car Awards. The Discovery was judged to be an exceptional car for towing. Judge Nigel Donnelly of Practical Caravan magazine said: “The old model was one of our favourite tow cars, but the new Discovery improves upon it in just about every area.

BMW 5 Series: full crash test results

The all-new BMW 5 Series and Alfa Romeo Giulietta have both scored the top five-star rating in the latest round of EuroNCAP crash tests. In the same tests the Mazda CX-7 scored four-stars. It achieved the maximum score in side barrier tests, but performed less well in the pole side-on collision test and the front seats were considered poor at reducing whiplash injuries in a rear-end collision.

New Mazda CX-7 to debut at Frankfurt

A face-lifted Mazda CX-7 will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 15. New features for the compact SUV include a 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine, a greater level of torque in lower revs and Mazda's new 'family face' as seen on the Mazda 3 and Mazda 6.
