Citroen C1• Citroen offers £1,000 discount to celebrate 2012 C1’s launch
• Emissions of 99g/km for all but the EGS automatic
• Styling updates improve design

The popular Citroen C1 city car has been given a styling and engineering overhaul for 2012 and goes on sale April 2.

To celebrate the launch Citroen is offering a £1,000 Citroen Reward discount, with free insurance for some customers using the Citroen Personal Lease scheme.

That brings the starting price down to £6,995 for the 1-litre Citroen C1 VT three-door, with low running costs thanks to its 65.7mpg economy and £0 road tax.

Prices go up to £10,545 (£9,545 after the Citroen Reward) for the 1-litre Citroen C1 VTR+ EGS automatic five-door, with steering wheel mounted paddles.

The first petrol Citroen ever to dip below 100g/km of CO2 emissions is still reasonably equipped, with VTR models getting day-time running LEDs, air-con, and electric front windows.

VTR+ C1’s are fitted with 14-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth, USB socket, front fog lights, leather steering wheel and tinted rear windows.
