Roman Abramovich – £1,300,000

One of the richest men in the world with a fortune in excess of £10 billion, Roman Abramovich is better known in the UK as the owner of Chelsea football club – which goes head to head with Manchester United in tonight's Champions League showdown.

And the Russian billionaire, who donates millions to Chukotka – the Russian district of which he is Governor – splashed his considerable wealth on two Maybach 62 limousines and £1.3 million on a Ferrari FXX.

Just 30 Ferrari FXXs have been built, and the race-bred hypercar shares its technology with the Ferrari Enzo.

The FXX develops 790bhp from its 6.3-litre V12 engine – but customers, including Roman – are only allowed to drive the FXX on special track days approved by Ferrari and must report back to them when finished.

But while Roman may have had to splash his cash, Ferrari superstar and F1 legend Michael Schumacher was given the last Ferrari FXX to be built.

The 1,001bhp Bugatti Veyron can accelerate from 0-62mph in just 2.5 seconds and will reach speeds of 253mph – making it one of the world’s fastest cars.
