UK tuners Niche Conversions has taken the wraps off its stunning new progeny – the astonishing Audi TTC.

And taking a closer sweep at the Audi’s audacious styling lines reveals the inspiration behind the Yorkshire-based firm’s new model, with the car’s bloodline echoing the storming 420bhp Audi R8.

The TTC sports a completely redesigned front and rear bumper with honeycomb grilles and integrated fins, while the doors can be fitted with optional side-blades as on the R8 sportscar.

Niche has fettled with the suspension, lowering the TTC’s ride height by 25m at the front and 20mm at the back using Eibach Pro lowering springs which it claims gives the taut TT more agility through the bends.

And the Yorkshire firm is offering performance upgrades for both Audi TT variants – by remapping the engine’s electronics, the 2-litre model’s power rises to 265bhp, while the 3.2-litre V6 engined-model gets a power lift to 285bhp.

Gareth Dean, Director of Niche Conversions, told Auto Trader: “We saw a gap in the market – mid-ranged sportscars were getting left out and so we decided to turn our hand to the new TT.

“Our ideal is to sit down with the customer and go through each modification, building the car with them.”

But if you’ve just forked out £30,000 for a brand new TT and fancied a redesign, the company will can retrofit the chosen spec.

“All of our suspension and ECU upgrades are all German TUV approved and so customers can still retain the manufacturer warranty.”

But if 285bhp is simply not enough, the company has yet to play its trump card.

“We’re currently testing out a 3.2-litre supercharged version of the TTC in Germany at the moment”, Gareth explains.

“We estimate it to be pushing out 500bhp.”
