Beyonce wants a Lotus Evora

Superstars from TV, film and music including George Clooney and Beyonce Knowles have declared their interest in the new Lotus Evora.

With A-listers in awe of the Evora, the new Lotus could replace the Toyota Prius as the must-have motoring accessory in Beverly Hills.

The Evora is the first all-new Lotus in 13 years and made its debut at July�s British Motor Show.

Fitted with a front-mounted, Toyota-derived 3.5-litre V6 engine, the Evora develops 276bhp � 39bhp more than the second most powerful Lotus, the Exige.

The result is 0-62mph in less than five seconds and a top speed of around 160mph.

Its sexy design has clearly appealed to Hollywood�s elite who are queuing up for a test drive of the hand-built British sports car.

Notable names on the list include Oscar winners George Clooney and Kevin Spacey along with fellow actors Piers Brosnan, Daniel Craig and star of Grey�s Anatomy Patrick Dempsey.

Music stars Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Dave Grohl, Jay Kay and Mark Ronson have also declared interest along with Top Gear stars James May and Richard Hammond, who are likely to be invited to the Evora�s press launch.

And the Evora appears to appeal to one of the world�s biggest petrolheads and car collectors � chat show legend Jay Leno who also wants to drive it.

Prices are yet to be confirmed for the Evora, but it will cost less than £50,000 when it goes on sale early next year.
