Vauxhall Astra Twin Top ‘VXR’

Two new models of the Vauxhall Astra TwinTop have been unveiled – the Exclusiv and Exclusiv XP, which comes with an aggressive ‘VXR’ styling pack.

Both new models are fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels unique to the TwinTop, heated leather front seats, keyless entry, heated mirrors and a leather steering wheel.

Exclusiv XP Vauxhall Astra TwinTops are fitted with a VXR styling pack for the first time.

The VXR kit on the Exclusive XP model consists of a sporty body-coloured front spoiler, deep rear bumper and sports side sills.

The convertible Vauxhall Astra TwinTop features a three-piece metal roof which folds backwards into the boot in less than 30 seconds while driving at speeds up to 18mph.

A ‘sport’ button on the dashboard makes the steering and throttle more sensitive and speeds up gear changes on automatic versions.

Three engines are available – a 1.8-litre petrol with 138bhp, 2-litre turbocharged petrol with 197bhp and a 1.9-litre diesel with 148bhp.

Prices start at £19,295 for the manual 1.8-litre petrol and 1.9-litre diesel, and an automatic gearbox is an additional £1,035.
