Save £100,000+ on the world's fastest supercars

Auto Trader’s supercar showroom has some great offers – Vijay Pattni rounds up the hottest cars on offer…
They drink heavily, need constant care and attention and demand huge sums of money – but supercars offer up exhilarating thrills.
And thanks to a new breakfast cereal called ‘Credit Crunch’, you can save thousands on a nearly new supercar.
But which to buy? The mouth-watering choices on Auto Trader’s supercar showroom floor offer plenty of temptation…
Lamborghini Murcielago LP640
“So you’ll be wanting the Lamborghini then? Yes, much more subtle…”
We couldn’t have said it better – in 2008’s blockbuster Batman film The Dark Knight, Bruce Wayne’s butler – Alfred – offers a hint of irony as he suggests Wayne’s daily driver, his Murcielago LP640, is ‘subtle’.
And only a Lambo with 640bhp would be fit for Gotham’s Prince of Darkness – the Murcielago accelerates from 0-62mph in just 3.4 seconds.
We found a 2006 Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 E Gear with 3,700 miles on the clock for £169,990, saving £26,260 off the book price.
Aston Martin DBS
You know his name, you know the cliché…Daniel Craig made a bombastic start to his 007 career with 2006’s Casino Royale, featuring the Aston Martin DBS.
The DBS is one of the most sought after supercars in the world, and during Casino Royale’s climatic chase sequence, was barrel-rolled SEVEN times, landing a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.
And things didn’t look up for 2008’s Quantum of Solace – a DBS was driven into Lake Garda in Italy and totalled. Sources later revealed that same car was sold for £200,000.
The DBS features a 6-litre V12 engine producing 510bhp and 420lb/ft of pulling power, which – for quick fire pub stats – means 0-62mph in 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 191mph.
We found this 2008 Aston Martin DBS with just over 5,000 miles on the clock for £124,950, saving £34,093 off the list price.
Ferrari 599 GTB
Faster than a Ferrari F40? You better believe it, because the Ferrari 599 is the world’s most accomplished, advanced and complete supercar.
Boasting a 6-litre V12 engine from an Enzo tuned to produce 612bhp with a manic 8,400rpm rev limit, the 599 accelerates from 0-62mph in just 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 205mph.
Chuck in advanced suspension settings and handling attributes which make you question ANY other supercar the world has to offer, and you see why the 599 is the best Ferrari of recent times.
We found this 2006 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano F1 with 6,500 miles on the clock for £149,500, saving £35,052.
Porsche 911 Turbo
A firm footballers’ favourite – Chelsea star Michael Ballack once owned one which later sold through Auto Trader – the Porsche 911 Turbo is a frighteningly fast car.
Two turbos and rear-wheel-drive channelling an epic 480bhp makes for a lively drive. Throw in the 911’s legendary grip and steering finesse and you have a very quick car indeed. Nissan’s GT-R engineers felt it the only car worth benchmarking when developing its newest supercar-slayer.
We found this ‘Porsche Approved’ Porsche 911 Turbo with 6,000 miles on the clock for £74,995, saving £22,813 off the list price.
Maserati GranTurismo
Yes, it’s Italian. Yes it’s very fast. And yes – it’s beautiful. Cue cliché-ridden paragraph about ‘passion’, ‘flair’ and ‘soul’.
The GranTurismo goes up against the baby Aston – the V8 Vantage – and packs a Ferrari-derived 4.7-litre V8 engine developing 440bhp, propelling the GT from 0-62mph in 4.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 183mph.
And now you can grab a bagful of ‘passion’ and spice up your motoring life with some traditional ‘Italian flair’ – we found this 2008 Maserati GranTurismo with 8,500 miles on the clock for £59,990, saving £27,765 off the book price.
