Vauxhall Astra and Corsa VXR-R by Thorney

The Astra VXR is already one of the most potent hot hatches. But Thorney have taken it to new extremes with a twin-turbocharged 2.0-litre version producing 300bhp.

We’ll get our first look at the Thorney Astra VXR-R at Autosport International along with it’s baby brother, the 230bhp Corsa VXR-R.

Veyron-beating Caterham R500 Superlight

It sells for £30,000 - but it thrashed an £850,000 Bugatti Veyron around the Top Gear test track.

Caterham will have the R500 Superlight version of its Seven on Display, along with the new R300 model.

The Performance Car Show

Want wall-to-wall cool cars? The Performance Car Show will be acked with desirable machines.

The star attraction? A special display celebrating five decades of the Porschue 911.

Formula 1

Every F1 car from the 2008 season will be on display, including Lewis Hamilton’s championship-winning McLaren.

There will also be a celebration of David Coulthard’s career as the Scot bows out of Formula 1. It includes a collection of cars he raced during his 15-year F1 career.

Live Action

Want to see the cars in action instead of standing still? Head over to the Live Action Arena where Terry Grant will be making a world record-breaking attempt.

Hybrid F1

Formula 1 is set for a revolution this year as the sport switches to hybrid engines - much like the devices made popular by the Toyota Prius.

British company Flybrid will be showing off their Kinetic Energy Recovery System which will be used in Formula 1 this year.
