The Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 accelerates from 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds

The 2008 Geneva Motor Show was a dream spectacle for the average red-blooded petrolhead.

From the outrageous Audi R8 TDi supercar to the luxurious Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe – there was no shortage of beautiful metal on display.

Another supercar on show was the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 – a new flagship model of the ‘baby’ Lambo.

But ‘baby’ doesn’t mean slow.

With a 5.2-litre V10 engine producing a colossal 548bhp, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 accelerates from 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds, 0-134mph (200kph) in 11.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 201mph, while the special fuel injection system has reduced carbon dioxide emissions by 18 per cent.

And then there’s the looks. From the Reventon-inspired front to the 19-inch alloys, the boys down at the Sant ‘Agata Bolognese production plant have pulled one out of the bag.
