Kahn Cosworth 300
Earlier in the year it was announced British automotive institutions Kahn and Cosworth would get together to work on another Great Brit – the Range Rover Sport.
Then in July we got to see the first pics of the V8 diesel 4x4 which had power increased to 300bhp and a host of cosmetic adjustments.
The first all-new Lotus in 13 years
At the British Motor Show, the Lotus Evora made its global debut.
Initially codenamed ‘Project Eagle’ the Lotus Evora is the first all-new model from the Norfolk car maker for 13 years and took just 21 months to develop.
It was received so well that celebrities from around the world including Beyonce, George Clooney and Dave Grohl are queuing up for a test-drive.
Lamborghini Gallardo badly smashed up
A Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder was smashed up when it hit a tree in Shropshire, but luckily no serious injuries were reported.

Gold-line Porsche 911 snapped in Russia
You often hear about motorists buying a Citroen Saxo for £6,000 and spending £20,000 modifying it.
But a super-rich Porsche 911 fan spent more than £270,000 modifying their supercar – and that was just on the bodywork, having it covered in 18kg of gold.
And with the value of gold likely to skyrocket over the next few years due to the banking crisis, this Porsche could end up being a shrewd investment?
Renault Megane R26.R revealed
Also at the British Motor Show was the Renault Megane RenaultSport R26.R – the final version of the outgoing hot hatch.
While there were no adjustments to power, thanks to a host of weight-saving processes, the R26.R became the fastest ever front-wheel drive car to lap the Nürbürgring – the last hurrah for the current Megane.
