28 January 2008 Looking for a Ferrari with a famous history? Auto Trader now has TWO Italian supercars previously owned by Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay for sale. Two weeks ago we reported on Jamiroquai’s Ferrari 360 but now his former 1996 Ferrari 456GT is also on Auto Trader. The Jamiroquai singer is a passionate Ferrari fan counting the legendary Ferrari F40, Ferrari F50 and Ferrari Enzo among his supercar stable. He’s also owned an Aston Martin DB5, Rolls-Royce Phantom, Lamborghini Diablo and Hummer H2. The Ferrari 456GT was unveiled in 1993 and was fitted with a 5.5-litre V12 engine chucking out 442bhp and 398lb/ft of pulling power. This gave the gran tourer a 0-60mph time of 5.1 seconds and a top speed of 186mph – but also means an average of just 12.8mpg and the top insurance banding Group 20.
Petrolhead Jamiroquai also appeared on Top Gear as the ‘Star in a reasonably price car’ lapping the show’s track in 1 minute 48 seconds – the top time until supermodel Jodie Kidd beat him. (Read our exclusive Jodie Kidd interview) The Ferrari 456GT is completely standard and was one of just 141 right-hand drive models imported into the Jay Kay’s Ferrari 456GT – which has covered just 36,650 miles and has a full service history – is for sale through Surrey-based Ferrari specialists Rardley Motors for £35,990. |
