The latest pics of the stunning Ferrari 458 Italia show it in more detail in the studio and out where it belongs on the road and track.

We first heard in July that the 458 Italia will be powered by a 4.5-litre V8 producing 563bhp and capable of revving higher than any other Ferrari.

Ferrari claims it will hit 62mph in less than 3.4 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 202mph – quicker than the hardcore Ferrari F430 Scuderia.

New interior shots show the dashboard to its full, and highlight the positioning of the 458’s main controls on its steering wheel: there are no indicator stalks.

Secondary controls are located in two pods either side of the dashboard – a move which Ferrari hopes will make the driver interface more intuitive than ever before – crucial in a high performance setting.

A new technology called Vehicle Dynamic Assistance (VDA) has also been announced, which monitors the engine, gearbox, tyres and brakes and advises the driver with the messages ‘warm-up’, ‘go’ or ‘over’ to tell them if each component is too cold, at the ideal temperature or too hot for optimum driving.

The Ferrari Italia 458 will be officially unveiled to the public in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
