A classic 1963 Aston Martin DB4 GT model has sold for £620,000 ($1,001,000) at an auction in Arizona.
The classic Aston headlined a massive £12.1 million haul as part of RM Auctions’ ‘The British Are Coming’ sale held in Pheonix last week.

The gorgeous Aston Martin DB4 GT is the last GT model to be built and sold by Aston Martin’s Newport Pagnell factory, and is one of only six GTs known to have full factory lightweight construction details.
The DB4 GT comes with a 3.7-litre straight-six engine developing 302bhp – up from the standard car’s 240bhp – making it one of the fastest cars in the UK in its day.
The modified DB4 will complete the 0-62mph sprint in just 6.1 seconds – 0.2s off the pace of a 2009 Ford Focus RS – and will top out at 153mph.
But this DB4 GT isn’t just about monster pace – inside the glorious Aston gets ‘Connolly’ leather and Wilton wool carpeting, together with an additional oil temperature gauge and rev counter which goes up to 8,000rpm.
These GT-badged Aston Martin DB4’s “represented a strong challenge to the dominance of Ferrari in GT racing”, and enjoyed massive success driven by the likes of Sir Stirling Moss and Jim Clark.
The DB4 GT was one of a host of priceless motors which preceded the two-day event in Pheonix, including a 1991 Ferrari Testarossa, a Shelby Cobra and a 1933 Rolls-Royce.
