Modify a Porsche 911 Turbo and you might as well wait for the men in white coats – because it will be really quick.

But that hasn’t stopped one Swiss tuner from turning the 480bhp road rocket into an 848bhp tyre-shredding monster.

Enter the Sportec SPR1 T80.

Speaking to Auto Trader, Sportec’s Ed Jackson said: “We take the Porsche 911 Turbo, strip it to its shell and then rebuild it from the ground up to our client’s bespoke specification”.

And part of that specification includes a fire-breathing 3.6-litre ‘boxer’ style engine which punches out 858bhp and a knockout 643lb/ft of pulling power.

To put it into perspective, Sportec helpfully explains exactly how that power is quantified, saying it’s “akin to having a Volkswagen Golf GTI powering each tyre.”

So with four GTI’s stuck on each wheel, the Sportec Porker sprints from 0-62mph in just three seconds and will shoot on to a top speed of more than 236mph, which is dangerously close to Bugatti Veyron territory.

The Sportec gets carbon ceramic brakes, carbon-fibre and Kevlar body panels, forged 20-inch alloy wheels, and the all-important leather interior.

Whether it comes with an organ donor card is not known at this moment but we’ll find out in July, when it touches down at the super exclusive Salon Prive supercar show in South West London.

We’ll be reporting live from the event, which runs from 22 to 25 July, so check back with Auto Trader for more updates.
