Awesome 192mph Audi RS6 Avant
21 July 2008
A German tuning house has upgraded the Audi RS6 Avant from 572bhp to 702bhp – making it 52bhp more powerful than a 217mph Ferrari Enzo.
MTM has modified the Audi RS6 Avant engine’s computer and fitted a new exhaust system and air filter to produce this colossal power upgrade.

As a result, the Audi RS6 Avant will accelerate from 0-62mph (100kph) in around four seconds and is capable of a top speed of 192mph.
Thanks to the German car makers’ ‘gentleman’s agreement’ this makes the MTM-tuned Audi RS6 Avant 37mph faster than the BMW M5 Touring and Mercedes E63 AMG Estate – which are both limited to 155mph.

If 192mph is too much, MTM will remove the 155mph limiter on the standard RS6, giving it a top speed of 173mph.
The motoring world was shocked last year when the first details of the Audi RS6 Avant were announced.
With an incredible 572bhp, the RS6 Avant – despite being an estate – was more powerful than any other Audi on the market, including the Audi R8.
It was even more powerful than every Audi-owned Lamborghini apart from the £192,000, 631bhp Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 – as driven by Bruce Wayne in box office phenomenon The Black Knight.
On top of the supercar performance, the Audi RS6 Avant also has the advantage of five seats, all-round electrics and a boot large enough for a weekend trip to Ikea.
Founded in 1990 in southern Germany, MTM has been behind some of the most radical Audis of all time including a twin-engined TT which hit 231mph on the Nardo test track and an Audi A8 which had its paint removed to create a silver effect for ruler of the United Arab Emirates.
In standard guise the Audi RS6 will set back customers £77,225 – but the tuning upgrade from MTM which turns the 155mph car into 192mph will cost about £6,000.
