The gorgeous Alfa Romeo 8C Spider will makes its world debut at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.

Using the same 4.7-litre V8 engine and six-speed semi-automatic gearbox as the coupe, the Alfa Romeo 8C Spider produces a hefty 450bhp and 354lb/ft of pulling power.

This should give it a 0-62mph time of about 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 180mph.

Housed inside the 20-inch alloys are huge 380mm Brembo ceramic disc brakes on the front and 360mm on the rear.

The two-seat Alfa Romeo 8C Spider features ‘teardrop-like’ fog lights housed inside the front bumper and an electric roof which opens and closes at the touch of a button.

Just like with the coupe model, just 500 Alfa Romeo 8C Spiders will roll of the production line.

And – as seen with coupe’s demand – expect all Spider models to be snapped up immediately and commanding a huge premium on the expected £130,000 book price.

Earlier this month we featured an Alfa Romeo 8C for sale on Auto Trader – with an asking price of £165,000.

Other sexy models making their world debut at the Geneva Motor Show include the Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe, Land Rover LRX and a special Bugatti Veyron while the Nissan GT-R will makes its official European debut.

We’ll be reporting live from Switzerland so don’t forget to come back for all the big news as it happens.
