New Vauxhall Insignia - latest pics
04 June 2008 Vauxhall has revealed all new shots of its Vectra replacement – the new Vauxhall Insignia saloon. The new Vauxhall Insignia will come with a ‘high-quality’ interior trimmed with chronometer-inspired dials and a unique dash lighting system which turns the lights red at the touch of a button. And marking a break from the Vectra, the new Vauxhall Insignia features a ‘wrap-around’ interior design and ‘bright-accent’ materials which sweep into the door armrests. View all new images of the new Vauxhall Insignia Executive designer at Vauxhall, John Puskar, said: “We wanted to create interior environments for all our future vehicles which are warm, inviting and sporty. The Insignia is the first evidence of this philosophy.” The Vauxhall Insignia’s interior offers up more practicality than the outgoing Vectra, thanks to an electronic parking brake which replaces the standard handbrake, freeing up space in the centre console. Elsewhere the Insignia features ‘ergonomically’ placed controls, a multi-use storage box and MP3 connectivity. The entertainment centre unit has also been set at a 30 degree angle to allow the centre console to match the rest of the interior. The all-new Vauxhall Insignia will be launched at the upcoming British motor show in July. Vauxhall has already revealed its mass-market saloon will feature a range of new engines, including two diesel units with 130bhp and 160bhp. And the Insignia features four-wheel-drive for the first time since the 1990’s Cavalier. The new ‘premium’-feel Vauxhall Insignia will go head-to-head with the Ford Mondeo and Volkswagen Passat.
