Subaru to build seven-seat estate
20 May 2008
Subaru is to build a large seven-seat estate - although it's unlikely to go on sale in the UK until at least late next year, if at all.
Based on the Exiga concept displayed at last year's Tokyo motor show, the car features the company's trademark 'boxer' engine and four-wheel-drive system.
It is larger than the current Legacy and Outback estates, and has been designed to look and feel more like an MPV.
It will initially be sold only in Japan, and only with petrol engines.
The likelihood of it being sold in the UK depends on whether it will be available with Subaru's new 2.0-litre diesel engine.
