New seven seat Nissan Qashqai under £18k
18 August 2008 Prices for the new seven-seat Nissan Qashqai+2 will start from just £17,199 when it goes on sale in September. The new Nissan Qashqai+2 made its debut at the 2008 British International Motor Show and is a seven-seat model of Nissan’s small SUV/hatchback crossover. The Nissan Qashqai+2 is 210mm longer and 38mm taller than its five-seat sibling, which scored the highest EuroNCAP safety rating ever. Buyers of the new Qashqai+2 can choose from either a 140bhp 2-litre petrol engine or a 150bhp 2-litre diesel engine, with the option of front-wheel-drive or Nissan’s ALL-MODE four-wheel-drive setup. The Japanese carmaker is offering the Qashqai+2 in three trim and equipment levels – Visia, Acenta and Tekna.
And this third row can fold down completely flat to release nearly 500 litres of luggage space – 90 more than the standard five-seat Nissan Qashqai. The Nissan Qashqai+2 will also be fitted with a panoramic glass sunroof as standard. A ‘sunshade’ can be activated to cover the glass roof to block out intense sunlight. The base-spec Visia models come standard with privacy glass, air-conditioning, a drive computer, Bluetooth hands-free capability, a four-speaker CD system and 17-inch alloy wheels. The top-spec Tekna model gets heated leather seats, Xenon headlamps and an auto-dimming interior mirror. Prices start from £17,199 and the new Nissan Qashqai+2 will go on sale from 18 September 2008.
