One of the world’s fastest sports coupes just got faster – this is the HKS GT570 version of the all-conquering Nissan GT-R with an extra 94bhp.

The new Nissan GT-R – which launches in the UK next year – is one of the most talked-about sports coupes in the world with a 476bhp 3.8-litre twin-turbo engine.

And now legendary Nissan tuner HKS has unveiled its tuning package which will boost the GT-R’s power to 570bhp – the equivalent of adding a Nissan Micra under the bonnet.

The GT570 pack now means the GT-R produces more power than a £147,000 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4.

The HKS Nissan GT-R tuning pack features a new exhaust, intake pipe kit, and a turbo boost controller.

HKS has not released performance figures for the modified Nissan GT-R, but the standard car can hit 62mph in just 3.5 seconds – just one second slower than the £830,000 Bugatti Veyron – and reach a top speed of 195mph.

The Nissan GT-R has caused a stir in the supercar ranks, with many claiming it better than its benchmarked rival, the Porsche 911 Turbo.

And Nissan rustled even more feathers with the announcement of the Nissan GT-R’s price – when it launches in the UK it will cost just £52,900.

This means it’s the same price as the new V8-engined BMW M3, and half the price of the Porsche 911 Turbo.

The GT-R even blasted the world’s most famous hypercar – the 1,001bhp Bugatti Veyron – into the weeds after it blitzed the famous Nurburgring test track in Germany two seconds faster.

The HKS GT570 tuning pack is only available in Japan at the moment, but check back with Auto Trader for more updates.
