Hot new Nissan 370Z Coupe - first pics
29 October 2008 Nissan has revealed new pics of its hot new sports coupe – the forthcoming Nissan 370Z Coupe. The new Nissan 370Z Coupe is the successor to the Nissan 350Z and will make its world debut at the 2008 Los Angeles Motor Show on 19 November. And the new Nissan 370Z Coupe will reportedly use a new 3.7-litre V6 engine which develops more than 320bhp – more than the outgoing 309bhp of the 3.5-litre V6 in the 350Z. This means the new 370Z should be able to complete the 0-62mph dash quicker than the outgoing 350Z, which managed a time of 5.5 seconds. The new Nissan 370Z Coupe updates the familiar 350Z coupe’s proportions, with more aggressive styling and a shorter stance. Nissan says the new 370Z Coupe is “the first full redesign of the iconic Nissan Z since its reintroduction as a 2003 model”. And the new 370Z “solidifies the strengths of its predecessor with an unmatched balance of performance, style and value” – meaning the new ‘Z’ will continue the original car’s excellent handling. The forthcoming Nissan 370Z Coupe builds on a long history of Nissan ‘Z’ cars, which dates back from the 1960s, including the Nissan 300ZX and the Nissan 350Z which started production in 2003. Prices have not been announced for the new 370Z, but expect to pay upwards of £26,000 when it hits UK shores in early 2009. |
