An amazing 700 customer deposits have been placed on the Nissan GT-R super-coupe in just 24 hours.

Part of the car’s sales success is down to its incredible pricing - the Nissan GT-R starts at only £52,900, and it’s the fastest car ever to be built in Japan.

The Nissan GT-R steams from 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds, and on to an unbelievable 195mph top speed – making its UK’s fastest car for the price.

The advanced four-wheel-drive systemmakes use of all 473bhp from the 3.8-litre V6 engine with two turbochargers.

During its development it lapped the gruelling Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit in Germany in 7m 38s - an incredible two seconds faster than the Bugatti Veyron.

Prospective owners can place a deposit online at http://www.gtrnissan.com/or by visiting one of ten newly assigned Nissan High Performance Centres from with a £3,500 deposit. Deliveries to the UK begin in March 2009.
