06 July 2007 by Adrian Hearn Modifying experts at Nismo have revealed details of their latest tuned monster – the Type 380RS. Based on the brilliant Nissan 350Z coupe, the 380RS has had the engine capacity increased from 3.5 to an enormous 3.8-litres. This means 350bhp and 293lb/ft of pulling power – 41bhp and 33lb/ft more than the standard model. While figures haven’t been revealed, we’d expect the Japanese motor to accelerate from 0-60mph in around 5.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 170mph. To improve handling, Nismo upgraded the suspension, fitted an aerodynamic bodykit and boosted stopping power with uprated Brembo brakes and Bridgestone tyres. Inside, the 380RS boasts Alcantara leather bucket seats, aluminium pedals and a unique performance gauge. Only 300 of the Nismo Type 380RS will be built and they’re on sale in That’s £5,000 less than for the standard 350Z you’ll buy on British soil.
