Sensational 604bhp Veritas RSIII - Veritas RSIII

Don’t get it angry – you wouldn’t like it when it’s angry…

This is the hardcore single-seat Veritas RSIII – a rapid road-rocket which has been built using BMW parts and a fair dose of insanity.

And now it has just been unveiled to the world.

Making its premiere at the Salon Prive supercar show, the Veritas RSIII uses a BMW-sourced 5.5-litre V10 engine producing an epic 604bhp.

The German rep in the field couldn’t speak English very well, but we managed to coax some performance figures out of him – 0-62mph takes around 3.8 seconds and the Veritas will hit 193mph before maxing out.

Not bad in something which looks like it has just finished filming on the set of “My shark wants to eat me.”

The new RSIII apparently follows on from more than 60 years of the original Veritas, and has now become “a state-of-the-art highlight in the world of super sports cars.”

Final assembly is being done at the tortuous Nurburgring race track in Germany.

With a shark-nosed front, a sleek long body housing massive alloy wheels and a single seat, the RSIII is a purpose-built sportscar. And judging by this thing’s awesome physical presence, we’re pretty sure it will handle in a rather ‘interesting’ manner.

No word on prices yet, but the reception at Salon Prive is encouraging – people aren’t sure whether to approach it or just stand in awe. At a distance obviously – it might just rip your head off…
