Flasher Mini from September

Flasher Mini from September - News image

31 July 2003

The Mini gains more convenience and security features from this autumn.

From September 1, all cars will be fitted with 'follow-me-home' headlights which remain on for 40 seconds after the ignition has been switched off.

New-style indicators flash when the car is locked or unlocked, and the car will automatically relock itself if the doors haven't been opened two minutes after being unlocked. A revised windscreen wiper system will automatically switch from slow to intermittent mode at low speeds.

The manufacturer has also made paint colours and seat trim options more widely available across the range.

Buyers hoping to find discounts on pre-update cars in stock will be disappointed. Delivery times of three months on the Mini One and Cooper stretch to six months on the Cooper S and mean the network has no cars available.
