Brabus builds world’s most powerful saloon

Now you can ‘multi-task’, ‘future-proof’, ‘manage-expectations’ and think as far ‘outside of the box’ at 211mph – thanks to Brabus.
The famous German tuning company has given those few remaining successful CEOs one more reason to wake up with a smile on their face: the Brabus SV12 R – a modified Mercedes S-Class.
This ‘blue-sky’ warrior packs an enormous twin-turbocharged 6.3-litre V12 punch to become the most powerful saloon car ever, with 740bhp and a hedge-fund crippling 995lb/ft of pulling power.

To put it into perspective, this mobile ‘office on wheels’ boasts more torque than the Bugatti Veyron, which only has a paltry 922lb/ft – barely enough to pull a bank manager’s bonus…
The Brabus SV12 R sprints from 0-62mph in four seconds, hits 124mph (200km/h) in 11.9 seconds and tops out at an electronically limited top speed of 211mph, firmly putting it among the world’s fastest cars.
To help harness this astronomical speed, Brabus boffins spent hours in the wind tunnel perfecting the saloon’s aerodynamics, fitting a revised front apron, centrally-located air duct, air vents, bespoke ‘rocker panels’ on the side and a rear spoiler lip.
Wheel options vary and you can spec monster 21-inch rims for the Brabus SV12 R, alongside 380mm 12-piston aluminium brakes.
Inside, Brabus has done a bulk-buy from Currys thanks to a notebook computer, a 15-inch TFT screen, TV, DVD and Blu-Ray capability, tables which deploy at the touch of a button, an integrated MP3 player which can store more than 5,000 songs and loads of wood and leather.
After driving this Brabus beast you’ll need a good ‘exit strategy’ – we expect lots of ‘back-end integration’.
The Brabus SV12 R will be officially unveiled at next week’s Frankfurt Motor Show – and we’ll be reporting live bringing you all the latest news, so stay with Auto Trader.
