The incredible Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster looks set to amaze crowds thanks to collaboration between the Italian supercar company and top designers, Versace.

The first example of the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Versace will be unveiled on June 23 and features a transparent engine cover to show of its V12 engine.

Bodywork is finished in pastel white paint with the Versace logo on its gullwing doors.

Inside, the bucket seats are trimmed in black and white leather, while the dashboard is covered in hand stitched nappa leather with embroidered logos.

And, this is just a preview of things to come. The Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Versace will be built to order for customers who get to work with its designers in choosing how the final product will look and feel.

This is called the “ad personam” project.

Versace’s CEO, Giancarlo Di Risio, said: “This new supercar and the exclusive Collection LP640 represents a natural evolution of excellence for both Versace and Lamborghini through the creation of these uniques, one-of-a-kind projects.”

A full range of accessories will be available for all comers to buy: a trolley bag, suit carrier, sports bag, briefcase, suitcase, gloves, driving shoes, belt, wallet, key ring, beauty case, hat and pair of jeans.

The exclusive range will be available at Versace Boutiques and selected Lamborghini showrooms from November.

Stephen Winkelmann, CEO of Lamborghini, said: “Our collaboration with Versace is an example of how we are pursuing our strategy of developing luxury products outside of luxury sports cars.”

It’s a very different proposition to the Lamborghini Reventon, which was designed to mimic the look of a jet fighter.
